... try to put your sp and your pc on the same power-outlet... !!!
if it stiill makes brrr or bzzzzz in the background, pull out all other gears
you got on that power-outlet... (that noises also could be caused by other elctronic-devices in that room.. can't tell you why 'cause of my bad english)
Also, raise the volume of your SP to the fullest, and lower the incoming signal of your pc. (check the incoming signal at your pc (audio mixer, software) Try to record as loud as possible, without peaking(?) over 0db... Then there should be nothing but dope music!
.. if not check your cables!!!

Take care that you don't blow your soundcard doing this though, the standard soundcards can't really deal with very high volume recordings. I've already messed up a few soundcards this way.

Yeah I forget that! ... but it isn't that hard to find a good balance between your sp-out and your pc-in...
Let's say try to record as loud as possible from the output without shocking your soundcard... 8) Most of the noises are caused by electricity anyway. It took me over about 2 weeks to figure out that my microwave (no not microkorg) caused some brrrr and bzzzt to my recordings... You have to check your power outlets... It's about that electric-circle in your appartment or wherever, you know... maybe this your prob, too....
Take them out one after one while you record some silence, this helped me to find the mf...

I think you might be referring to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
