IDK about the dr202, but I got my 303 brand new from guitar center for $299.

based on my purchases and impression of the going rate on eBay, you can get a SP 303 - US$220-250. was about to write a price for the DR but i'm thinking of the SP202

I got a Dr-202 for well under a hundred bucks on ebay. It was missing knobs though and was labeled as "boss drum machine". I think the person selling it had no idea what it was, so that's why I got it on the cheap.

I say get it man. The Dr-202 is dope. I'd never used a non-sampling drum machine in depth before (so I have nothing to compare it to), but the 202 is fucking sick. There's a bunch of pretty decent bass sounds in it, which you can play over an octave. You can make the bass sound ill if you sample it into the 303/404 or whatever and fuck with the effects. There's also obviously a shit load of drum sounds. You can tweak the sounds quite a bit too. There's different reverbs and delays, and you can fuck with the resonance, decay, cutoff, etc. You can save the sounds to your own "custom" kit. The pads on it fucking suck, but I usually hook my MPC or a midi keyboard up to it to control it. I love making a pattern, then cycling through the kits and listening to the pattern play while the drum sounds change pretty much continuously. If you think outside the box you can do some ill shit with it.
