Heyas
Stupid question (I'm a guitarist you see, and new to this side of things):
I've just bought an SP-404. Now, I plan to use this live. So, what kind of stands do you use? Are stands for this kind of thing commercially available or do I go look for some kind of portable table kind of thing? Anything that could be coupled with my synth at all (combo stands or anything, additions that can be added to keyboard stands...)?
Cheers!

EDIT: Meant to post this on the "Other Gear" area, but it's Friday morning at work and I'm not all there... my bad!

Hey man, I don't think there's a dedicated 404 stand.. most people who use this kind of gear are either hip-hop or dance musicians, so they use multiple "boxes" on stage. I imagine you are intending to use the sampler with live instruments? Hmmmm.... maybe a big esky?

I use a folding camping table (steel with wooden top); gives enough room for sampler/synth/drum machine etc. Probably too big for your sitch though....

The esky would keep the beer cold too....

Go with the esky

a sturdy music stand might work well.

you can convert a snare drum stand
this thread gives details on how to convert one:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... f632dc6d20
bear in mind that it is made for a padkontrol, and the 404 is about 2.5 times heavier than a padkontrol, so maybe reinforce it a bit

...& keep a mini esky under it for beverages

Snare stand are the best, or you could make something easily.

i have used my mpc stand. the 404 is too small and wont fit so I cut a sheet of plywood the size of an mpc and put the 404 on that.
