hey all:

what computer programs do most of you use...? I want to set up a mini-studio with some kind of computer-based multi-track, and, of course, my 404...

any advice would be appreciated.

I used Reason 3 for a while. Now I have enough hardware that I don't need the warez anymore. I just have Reaper and some free VST stuff.

Almost forgot Audacity and Kristal Audio Engine. Both freeware multitracks.

i "obtained" a copy of cool edit pro a few years ago, and its my main multitracker. i've used it nonstop for years and discover new things all the time. its been bought up by adobe and is now called 'audition' but the syntrillium version that i have is more than enough.

i also use ableton live 5, and every so often acid 2 for sample stretching, and occasionally fl studio 7 for messarounds, but really not that much.

these days its mostly CEP, Live & the fourohfour.

Yeah,Live is pretty dope!! I also like Renoise,it's not too difficult getting a groove going with those 2 apps.
I also love Audacity and cool freeware vst's like Da Hornet and A Synth.
