Peace all this is dope to finnaly have a sp forum!Anyways ive been gettin deep into the 404 and makin beats only using the 404(no tracking out)the sequencer is hard but i feel limitations makes u think differently.I know u cant pan on the 404 but if u resample using the tremolo pan efx on a slow speed u can get your sample to be on the left or right!

yeah thats a good tip!

if you time it right, put pan on most the drums, so makes it sound like the drums are floating in stereo. Ive used it effectively in a song or two.. But timing it right, so it doesnt cut out any single drum hits, can be pretty challenging....

I've been thinking about that exact way to make a panned drumsound myself (i know it's easy to say so after you read it on a thread) but never got around trying it, it's indeed a question whether you want to give up some of your poliphony by using a stereo 'panned' drumsound. Still a very nice trick.
Please don't forget to post up some of your beats in the music section.
