In your experience, Is there any Brands or certain cards to avoid. Im finding some good prices online but not sure if any are not compatible.

Specifically, do you think all Sandisk cards is good?

i've had no problems with sandisk either. If they are that cheap buy one and format it on the sp.

I just bought a 404 yesterday, after having a 202 for several years.
as far as flash card, does any kind of SanDisk card work or does it HAVE to be the "Ultra II" that Roland lists as compatible on their faq page?
Anyone here know?

do the compact flash cards that have two banks work?

I think they are usually 2GB and have a switch on their casing that switches from bank to bank, each one being 1GB each.

I have a regular SanDisk 256Mb card. It seems that if I try to load long samples (around 3min long), they'll stutter a bit when playing - especially is I try to play other samples on top or add effects. Has anyone else noticed this?
