^ nice :)

Solved the delete disaster too:

Even harder to explain than the m.m. ... so when does it happen?

Let's say you programmed a hihat line and you want to delete it...
so what you do is press DEL and hold down the pad you want to delete.

If you leave the DEL-mode (pressing DEL) but still hold down the pads you wanted to delete out of the pattern you activated the delete disaster. so watch out... next time you ( considering you didn't left the pattern rec-mode in between) enter DEL-mode every pad that was hold down during you left the last DEL-mode, is gonna be deleted as soon as you hit delete.

If you had hold down multiple pads while leaving DEL mode the first the time, the same pads gonna get deleted by pressing DEL again...

I know this description is a mess... :P
Now it's your time to explain it in an easy way again....

made a shitty vid:
IMAG0014.AVI - 1.25MB
the important part is at 0:25 / i'm leaving DEL-mode but still holding down the pad

peace 8)

yo it works for the SX as well!!! All u need is 2 use the copy botton. It's like u said. 1,2,3,4 1st sample (1,2) then copy that to nxt pad then mark at (2) So sample goes (1) pad 1 (2) pad 2 If I use your technique but add the copy bottom it works!!!

Unfortunately I don´t have my 404 near me to test this, but actually this crazy "error" can be quite useful...

I always hated to hold the del button and wait forever until the whole pattern finished e.g. because I wanted to delete all my hihats or a sample that triggers just at the end of the pattern.
So now I can hit del + the pad + del again [while holding the pad] and finally hitting del again and every hihat or Sample will be deleted...am I right?
This should work much faster than the waiting-method....

Nope.... when finally hittin DEL again, you only delete stuff as long as DEL stays on. ...so still waitin but without holding down pads...

Just wonder (but I don't have my sx near me) whether it would be quicker/safer to delete sample (or exchange the one we want delete with empty one) without recording pattern mode on? Of course it would work only if we wanna erase all plays of sample not part of it...

Good idea actually, but I don't think it erases the actual pattern data when you erase the sample. Frankly, that would really suck if you just want to replace the sample by another one, and delete first.
Worth a try though! I'll tell if it works.

Just as I thought, deleting a sample doesn't delete any pattern data. If you recorded something on that pad, it will stay no matter what you do with the sample.

Oldman when you're deleting all hihats etc... Just bump up the bpm and then go right back when you're done. This method helps you memorize tempos for specific Patterns too.

multi marking works on the 303 as well; but you have to put your 'main' sample on gate...

Hi

The 606 does the sample copy w/ its clipboard feature.

That is all lol

Nah jk I'm actually considering a 404 or sx buy and this thread helped out a lot. I would go mad if I couldn't do this one thing. Now all I have to decide is if I'm gonna go OG or new jawn.
