Hi everyone!

I recommended the SP-404 to a friend.
He was looking for a good sampler, so we went to Keulen (Germany) to the BIG music store over there and bought one.

He is pretty good at working with an Electribe EMX-1.
When I went to his place to check out what he was doing, he was trying to sync a sample with his electribe EMX-1 with a MIDI-Clock signal from his electribe.
He was kinda frustrated the shit didn't sync.

But I asked him if he made like any patterns, and he didn't.
Maybe I got to tell him that he has to make nice patterns first before trying to sync it with his Electribe EMX-1.

I don't know anything (or not much) about the SP-404.
Is it possible to make a pattern with a rythmic sample that has the same lenght as the entire pattern. Because I think that's where he is stuck.
He wants to use drumloops instead of playing the drums himself.
And still have it synced to his electribe....

He was also messing around with the BPM of the sample and saying that he couldn't set it to 130 BPM because he had to choose between a couple of BPM values. And his electribe was playing at 130 BPM.
(I think he realy has to make a pattern first...and sync the pattern with the electribe, not just the sample)

Yes, tell him to make patterns first, then sync the patterns.

You can make patterns from loops, so he doesn't have to make them hit-by-hit. Just make sure the loops are the right tempo!!![/b]
