umm i'd prolly use the isolator to kill the upper frequencies i.e. all highs and some mids.

I use excessive resampling to accomplish this. Isolator... cut hi and mid all the way.. and cut the low by half-3 quarters. Then I EQ with the bass all the way up and the his and mids cut, then vinyl sim...just using the compressor. and then maybe a little EQ again or maybe chorus... or w/e.

i like taking away everything except the lows with isolator. if its a one note short bass hit, then i try to make it loud enuff to distort when resampling. then take it to the eq and take away everything except the lows.

i also like to take out everything except the lows with isolator. then eq out some of the lows and add mids. so the bass has more presents on small stereos.
