yeah I agree... i was just thinking maybe it could stay on 16 till I changed it, like the MPC does... kinda annoying having to set it EVERY time I wanna lay something down.. but like you say its not the end of the world :)

if feel the same way about mono & stereo recording. i like that the default is stereo, but sometimes i want to record a bunch of stuff in mono, and wish i could change this to be the default.

which, unless i'm missing something, i can't do. gotta do it each and every time.

agreed. though sometimes it seems to accept mono as the default temporarily. no idea why.

i donno - i understand the increased polyphany w/ mono, but using that tremolo FX and panning stuff hard right n left - killa! also, i find some fings sound fatter in stereo.

of course, other things sound fatter in mono, hence my question about changing the default!

i sample in mono because i don't have the right cable to record in stereo to my interface, so i switch it to mono anyway, so i'd be stupid to waste the polyphony.

hehe.. ya.. guitars and pianos sounds great in stereo. I usually sample everything in mono and If I want it stereo I resample it that way after. I dont like to use other peoples paning and things from the original samples...but thats just because im wierd :)

about the stereo/mono recording, my SP seem to accept mono definitevely if I sample once in mono (it resets at shut down of course). Never updated my SP...maybe that's an explanation ?
