is it - like a mpc - where the 404 has operating systems / updates on the machine? I was just wondering, because i read on here that the tempo of the tracks aren't saved, and i was hoping that if they do have new OS' that that can be fixed..... another thing? is their a way to chop? like can you get around that and make your own chops? holla

Os upgrades don't provide any new features only bug corrections. You can edit samples so yes you can make chops.

only way i know to chopp on this is to stop recording the sample at each chopp. Or the best way would probably be to resample and trim
