It would be nice if there were decent preset samples. but i guess thats a given with any machine...

yeah what a retards... but i just found some nice preset samples in my mpc 1000 but im not sure of those are copyrighted as well.

so how did you do it? i hate those samples! you managed to delete both the sounds on bank a and the ppatterns on bank a or what? tell us fellow sp-404 users how to get rid of those shitsounding samples! please

You have to turn the protection on on banks A/B and then you can delete the samples in bank A/B same goes for the patterns. Check manual.

aha so i now figured it out.

the thing you need to do is hold down cancel while you turn on the power of you sp-404. The display wil show P.of.
Now all your samples are free of protection and you can delete those shitty samples in bank a.

MAN it feels great!
