Hey!

So I'm really new to the SP-404SX (only had it since September) and I'm now trying to import samples onto the SD card with the included Wave Converter software. I guess my question is, does anybody else find the software a nightmare to use? It almost always tells me "Import Failed" when I try to load a sample off of my computer, but it's inconsistent about which samples yield that error message (sometimes if I just eject the card and try again later the sample will load properly).

Am I doing something wrong? Every audio file I try to load on there is definitely a .wav file...! What else would cause the software to reject a sample? I'm about to start tearing my hair out over this.

might be the card that's fucked up?
guess you still rocking the roland sd that came with it...? lot's of them were 'buggy'...
make sure that your sample really is 44.1khz 16bit .wav though... there are different types... but if you tried importing the same sample i'd say it's the card...

To convert wav, you need some professional tool like:http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/shn-converter.html, which can handle kinds of audio formats.

minimum file size can cause the program to reject action when you try to load samples onto card

try leaving a bit of air at end of sample . then chop that air off when on the actual sp
