Hi all, 404 noob here.

Put some samples on my CF card in the right folder at the correct bit depth and sample rate. The pre-import process all goes fine until the import begins:

I select the import pad and press record as the manual says and the screen starts to blink for a second but goes straight to the FUL message with no samples on any pads.

The card is definitely not full so if anyone can give some advice it would be really appreciated as I'm dying to make some beats on this beast asap.

Have you formatted the card inside the 404?

52 samples totalling 2.6 mb, I have a 1GB card so this shouldn't be an issue. There is no obvious reason why it sys full

I'm a 404 noob too and have never tried loading samps this way, but could it be a bank assignment prob.. like not enough pads to accommodate the number of samps? (yeh.. but banks A-J can take 60 samples??)

Just thinking out loud..

They're probably too short, look at the notes --> http://www.manualslib.com/manual/141894/Roland-Sp-404.html?page=38#manual

Hope you figure it out

Yh ended up doin the drums manually, kinda long winded but it is what it is. suppose i'll have to edit the files with a bit of silence at the beginning to get them in there. truncating every drum hit is a bitch though :L
