Hey,

Is there another way to record drum patterns, not in pattern mode, while a current pad/sample is already playing? Like in this video, around the 1:30 mark.

Thanks!

ah the so-called Dakim technique is just a delay with the feedback to the max, it just becomes like a live looper. It's cool to do while using turntable tricks and turning on/off the EXT pad(and putting it on "gate" too).

Oh wow, so he's not actually recording a drum pattern? Just a delay trick, pretty much?

Yup, Dakim is a genius for that one! The dub gods are smiling

Yo guys, new user here!
Before opening up a new thread I thought I'd fire out my question here! Are there any more threads or tricks here for recording new external sounds on top of an existing pattern?? I know that the sp404 doesn't really work as a looper and that 555 is better for that. Still I feel there might be some good clues how to play in a melody on top of an existing pattern with an external synth so that it does fit timing wise. Curious to hear any thoughts!
:D
