Looks like the pot my vol knob is on is affecting recording and playback, going beteween one channel and stereo.

Anyone know a fix?

It sounds like your pot is broken. You probably will have to replace it or get it replaced.

Seems to be a problem with 404s. The volume pot on my old 404 also broke.
