I have a Roland v-drum electronic drum kit. Shit sounds like an acoustic kit. If anybody want breaks or fills get at me, give me a BPM and an example of the beat you want and I can lay it down. I can do fills too. I also play bass guitar too, been playing for 10 years so I can pretty much do whatever. I never play anymore so I'm just looking for a reason to bust out the instruments and jam out.

Do you mind sending some wav samples of the kit? Also would you be down to jam on some tracks as a collab?

You mean you just want single drum hits? Doesn't sound very fun haha, there's plenty of drum samples out there if that's what you want, so it would take a lot of time for me to sample individual hits and post them for you, and that's not really what I'm offering. If you want drum breaks, I got you, but km not trying to just sample individual hits, sorry man. And what do you mean by "jam on some collabs?" I may be interested

lol well hmm in that case gimme a jb's, bernard purdy souding late 60's funk break. Something in the 90 bpm range with closed hats and space between each hit if that makes sense. And by jamming I mean just like writing a bassline to a beat and giving it an added dimension.

Just send me a YouTube link to song with a beat like what you want so I can get it right. And if you wanna send me a beat then I could definitely try to throw a bass line on it.

I'd like a 'Cissy strut' style break, if you wouldn't mind?

As far as cool chords go, you can just Google chord diagrams, things like major and minor 7 chords are your typical jazz chords, those have a great sound. It won't take very much digging to find cool chords on Google.

Thank you, I learn most stuff from youtube these days which is an excellent resource for people. I'll mess around with the minor 7th chord since I like jazz and have an engelmann spruce top guitar with decent harmonic overtones. The guitar is way more fun to learn and play than the piano was/is for me.

Yeah, I hate to be the "just Google it" guy but thats the best advice. I could post long, detailed stuff about how to build chords and utilize scales and shit but the easiest option for both of us is just to Google chord diagrams. There's probably some chord/ scale digram apps for smartphone too if that's something you would use.
