would anyone know why after deleting on sample on my 202 half of the other samples in that bank (B) only would sound like a distorted hurricane?
the only thing i can think of is that it was right next to my computer.

Sounds like a memory problem, the only time I hear that sound is when my 303's memory card is acting up. Before I make a new song I make sure to format the card in the machine and initialize the internal memory banks, it seems like if you just delete all samples or patterns then meta data or something gets left behind and can get crossed up with new stuff loaded on the card. Just my personal hypothesis, but I haven't had that problem since I started that practice. If some piece of info is out of place on these machine they seem to go haywire.
