Sp-202 has a built-in mic just like the 404 and can also run off batteries but it has no sequencer.

this piece looks like its from the 80s, ha ha ha

if u ever get pissed at your 404 , just take a look at this to remind you of how bad it could really be.

You could always find a Boss DR202 drum machine and pair it with the sp202. (They were meant to be paired together at the time). It's possible to make the dr trigger the 202 with the midi in, so bang, there's your sequencer.

i had both, now i got just the dr202 for a su10, but don't kill me, the su10 was my first sampler in the '90 so i rebought it for a matter of affection...

It's all good. Cheap gear is cheap gear. It's all in your imagination on how you use it. Alot of vintage drum machines, samplers, effects, and keyboards are going up in price, so if you take care of your gear, you might be sitting on a collectors item down the road you can sell for more than you paid for it.
