Looking at buying the SP-202, but will be using it with a live band. Is there a way to adjust the tempo/bpm of a sample after recording? Our timing is not 100% accurate and past experiences with loopers/samplers have left us bewildered.

Additionally, if anyone has any tips for using the SP-202 with a live band, please let me know!

yeah you have 2 ways to change the BPM.

you can use the time FX, and it will just change the BPM, or you can use the pitch FX and it will change pitch and the BPM. this is real pitch shift by the way, other sp's dont have this except the mc 909, and maybe sp 808???

I found a cool way to match loops in cool edit before this.

all you have to do , is set the sample to the same length with pitch shifter.

it's basicly the same on the 202, but set the tempos the same and the loops should match.

it wont help for timing the beats much if they are completly off base , so you might have to chop your loops or play to a metranome.
