 Post subject: PITCH! MV 8000

Is there a way to pitch up my samples in the mv 8000 or do I need to do it before I sample into the MV?

yes there is. just hit quick edit and tweak coarse/fine tune parameter of the sample.

Yeah, that's right indeed, sometimes pitching it before sampling could give some better results though, but it depends on your other gear you are using. (Its more a pitch range thing and a matter of taste (warmth can be better when pitched through for example your turntable), not saying the MV is bad in this respect at all though.)
