Man, its gonna take some patience. mpcstuff.com got colored pads for the MVs plus a youtube video on how to install them. And by the looks of it, you'll have to gut out the harddrive, disconnect cables and remember how the sensor pad was placed.

Check out mvnation.com, there's already a thread in the MV Basement forum.

The best advice is to have an ice-tray handy for the various screws in there. In fact, you're gonna need the three headed philips too. Not to discourage you but to prepare you. I'm gonna order the black pads, when they're installed I'll let you know whats up.

Yeah, which color pads did you order? Or was this about Roland original pads?

I've still got to order my glow in the dark pads, but haven't been able to yet.

If anybody need the 1.01 update for the 8800 on CD-ROM just PM me your address and I'll mail it to you free of charge.

Did you know that Windows Vista and 7 can't burn ISO 9660 cds. Thats because they're programed for drivers with DVD burners and they burn UDF files and not the universal ISO.

I had to dust off my old Toshiba to burn the CD. But if your comp can't read the MV via USB or your MV is having problems reading the cd you burned then give me a HOLLA!!!

If you use a program other than Vista and 7's built in burning you can do it.

I would just put it on the HD and upgrade on boot.

True, I could've done the upgrade via USB but my computer and MV are in two different places, so the cd rom was convienent for me.
Peace
