Hey, so whose down ? Yesterday after updating the MV I loaded up the battle 41 sample and messed with it and extracted some drums and bass lines. So most probably I will finish it till the weekend. I know Phem is creating something. Anyone else ?

So what we've got so far... use only the sample given (for the the battle 41 it's the industrial power beat), no external stuff - all done inside the mv. What about the internal synth ? I put some lines over the samples and I guess it is right because we are not using any samples at all for the internal synth, so what you think about that ? Is it okay to use the synth of the mv ? As we are not battling with Sp's I don't see a reason why not to use it.

Step up we need at least 3 or 4 dudes to call it some sort of a battle :)

Yeah man I'm working on something, I dig these battles. I also used the internal synth of the MV.

I was also thinking about using one of the standard drumkits inside the MV as well, but nahh that would be cheating.

I will need to try a bit harder extracting some more drums from the sample. :)

Funny but I thought that extracting drums was the easiest part. For me it is harder to decide on which part of the song to use and where :P There are so many options that it is hard to decide on one option only.

Btw as far as I can tell the audio phrase drifting problem does not exist in the 1.01 version as I am using a full length audio file and plays just fine.

Hey man, don't know about you, but I won't be in the vicinity of my MV from today until probably Saturday or Sunday. Would you mind extending the deadline to Sunday? I am going to try to finish it up today, but I'm probably not going to be able to post my beat before sometime this Sunday.

I think there shouldn't be any strict deadline. Just upload your beat when you are done and that's all. I will not finish it until this weekend for sure - too much stuff to do until then.

Thanks for the good comment on my profile 8)
I'm going to shoot a few more videos, I will try to concentrate on the quality. And next time I shoot a video I am going to plan what and when to say and what to do actually as all my previous videos where extremely freestyled with lots of cutting to do later. And a better sound quality fo' sure.

So I think this should work out for the MV rules:

Quote:
1. You can use only your MV with no external gear even to track out the beat. All done internally and a final WAV file needs to be recorded using the MV's mixdown mode.

2. You can use the internal mastering tool kit to polish your music.

3. You are allowed to use the internal synth in any way you want. Even if you resample the synth and create an instrument kit from it - it still is the internal synth.

4. NO ORIGINAL PATCHES should be used. Only the sample(-s) provided for the beat battle.

5. Transfer your music using the CD burning, USB transfer or direct master output recorded into PC.

6. During the creative process you can use any stimulants you would require, yes, even nagging girlfriends and shitty weed :)

What you think about these rules ? Lets correct them if they are missing something and get creative for this weekend.
