Here is my first video for the Roland MV-8000/8800 heads:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMxxsl5PXLI

This video is dedicated to fixing uneven samples to make them the same length as all other chops, this technique I like to call the Alternate Loop (Point) Chops.

Drop me some comments on what you want to see explained or how to improve my videos. But don't ask me to speak in proper English, because I don't have any other way to train my foreign language speech techniques! :D

Good video. It took me a bit to figure out what 'release' did on the MPCs, but especially with synthy or keys kind of samples, this alternate trick works great. Thanks.

In fact, I could apply this to my Sketch Pad 01 track, because it has some keys samples in it that are a little bit too short whenever they're off beat in the rhythm.

Looking forward to more videos. I'm currently struggling a bit with figuring out how to properly BPM sync audio loops. I can't get the BMP base note value figured out when it comes to acapellas and so on, lots of trial and error there. :?

That beat at the end sounds great though, seems you've already managed to do your thing on the MV! That's fast man.

Thanks man. I'll look into the BPM sync issues you have, but all in all it's more or less always trial and error if you don't know exact BPM of the original song. If you know it, you just need to set it to the correct value in the audio phrase parameters and it should sync to the beat pretty well.
