IVE BEEN MAKING BEATS FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS, STARTED WITH THE MPC2000, 2000XL AND NOW I USE A SP-404, ANYWAYS MY DAD HAS A PRETTY DECENT COLLECTION OF WAX, I PRETTY MUCH RAIDED ALL THE SOUL, FUNK, NEW WAVE, ETC, BUT I LEFT OUT ALL THE COUNTRY LOL, MY FIRST LOOKS AT COUNTRY VINYL I WAS LIKE ITS GOTTA BE WACK, BUT ACTUALLY THERES ALOT OF STUFF IN THERE THAT IS SO DOPE, ALOT OF 50'S 60'S 70'S COUNTRY, DO YOUR RESEARCH AND IF YOU DIG DEEP ENOUGH YOU'LL FIND ALOT OF REALLY GOOD WHAT I CALL "SOUL COUNTRY".

i just flipped a track of a ronnie milsap dollar bin record i picked up, its the track i got on my page called crackin cigars, its totally true, but fuck, listenin to some of it can certainly be unbearable.....although a good amount of this ronnie milsap was actually pretty solid, i guess he did some r n' b crossover shit at one point, and this is his greatest love hits from the late 60s

Cool, I don't think I've ever looked into much country.
Could you give me some names for the next time I go digging?

yeah its smith bros, i still wanna go back and do some shit to that beat, it was just a rough take to see how it sounded and how i could mix on the 4 track, but sometimes goin back to a beat to polish it off can take more motivation than i have, soon enough, i think its gonna be a stand alone instro though

YEA MAN, IF YOU THINK OF IT, ANY RECORD CAN BE FLIPPED, ITS ALL YOU TO YOUR CREATIVE IMAGINATION, THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT USING A SP-404 YOU CAN DROWN A SAMPLE IN HEAVY AMOUNTS OF REVERB N SHIT AND IT COMES OUT SOUNDING LIKE SOME DOPE SHIT, LOOK AT THE ARTIST "PANDA BEAR" HE SAMPLES ALOT OF FOLK AND COUNTRY AND HIS SONGS ARE INSANE, DONT SLEEP ON OG COUNTRY.

I got a few country records but from the 40's and 50's which sound more tougher than the later eras. One got this evil fiddle playing along a twangy electric guitar while the dude is howling the lyrics. Sounded dope but only 2 or 3 songs were sample worthy. I'll get back to you on the names. There's even one with an accordian and fiddle thats slow and dark, got some dope bridges.
