I'm looking for certain types jazz. As in the music that you hear when a guy in the movie gets layed off and wanders around the city at dusk and thinking suicidal. That depressive, sentimental mood type jazz.
And some of that dark, evil chicago-mob bassy jazz.
And that layed-back jazz with a lot of slow solos without that many drums or vocals.
Can anyone help?

Art Blakey- Anthenagin..... even tho blakeys a drummer, the drums are pretty sparce on this one, letting the piano lead with a sombre tone

that what you looking for?

Horace Silver's Song For My Father has somber tunes. Mingus always got sad feeling songs on his albums.

Thanks :)
Love: For The One You Can't Have is the only one in there with the style I was looking for, but it's still awesome. I just flipped it :D
I just picked up some Oscar Peterson solos which are coo too.
