what is the most obscure record you have found? where'd you find it?

mine is one aptly labeled "German Beer Drinking songs" every song sounds exactly the same and seems like it would be played at Darth Vaders bachelor party.
i got it from a dead ladies house i was paid to clean out...i get evil vibes just playing it

crazy. I remember years ago when i was just getting into digging I was driving from Reno to Seattle taking some back roads and came up on this little swap meet in this super small/depressing town. We started looking around and they were all the older kinda hickish white dudes selling lots of war/military stuff. tons of knives, helmets, ammo casings ish like that. Finally I found this box of records and started digging through them and then I came up on the whole section of records that had names like "music for the advancement of the arian race" etc. at that point i got up and skeet skirted past the pit bulls to the car. In retrospect I kinda wished I had copped a few of them, but I was pretty shook (I'm already on edge enough when rolling through those small rundown towns)

As for stuff that I did buy, I think the most obscure record that I own I Gershon Kingsley's first moog quartet. I think I got it for like $0.50 at a garage sale in my parent's neighborhood. It's got a lot of spacey psychedelic electronic stuff and there is obviously a lot of good sample fodder and the is a pretty dope break on there too.

I might have something more obscure like yours at home, but i'd need to go dig through a bunch of records(which i was planning on doing tonight anyways...)

my most obscure record is called 'the great contest'

the 1st side is a 20-minute skit about a fart contest between two guys, with stupid commentary that tries a little too hard to be funny. the b-side is a bunch of dumb songs that also struggle to be funny about sex and masturbation. i think it came out in the late 60's and has a cheesy sunday-funnies picture of a guy trying hard to fart in front of a crowd people with clothespins on their noses. got it for 50 cents in a hollywood antique store.

atari missile command record - its ridiculous, its got this whole talking bit that provides all this weird backstory to the game and the music is anything but atari/electronic sounding but still cool in a weird way
