^^I'm so annoyed by that guy. He goes around acting like he is heading the revolution against copyright and what not because no one sued him. He is nothing more than a DJ to me who at times mixes things out of key, that is all. As a sampling person, I guess it's kind of funny for me to turn my nose up at him since a composing, keyboard negro (lol) might feel the same way about me. I remember the first time I heard of him was on some news clip and he was acting so cool and important. Like dude...I did that stuff when I was in the 9th grade..stop it. It's no great feat to download some acapellas and some instrumentals and get it popping . |

I copped this one for my kids the last winter, they love it! I need to play this record at least once a week for them... they know vinyl is GOOD! |

figured i'd take the trollbot off of the front page for most recent post with some nice dollar digs i just grabbed earlier originally went knowing i had seen this george duke there before and turned it down cause i thought it was super late for some reason, but it had already been snatched, super bummed, woulda been a great dollar find but luckily they had some fresh boxes, and pretty much every record they sell is a buck, unless its in a plastic sleeve, then its 2 list coincides like a book reads ambergris-s/t mandrill-beast from the east mandrill-s/t otis redding-in person at the whiskey a go go the section-forward motion elvin bishop-the elvin bishop group jeremy steig-fusion (actually cost a couple bucks, grabbed at a different store yest) jimi hendrix-war heroes the hellow people-fusion

Found this and some other interesting stuff in a charity shop. (Sorry for crappy web cam photo) It's a "hypnosis" record. I.e a man speaking soft and gently over some chilled out music. Side A: General hypnosis for relaxing and stuff. Side B: Contains two tracks. One that's supposed to help you stop smoking and one that's supposed to cure insomnia. And yeah, It's all in Swedish. |

Noticed you got a Grover Washington Jr record- what's it like? I just picked up the 'Feels So Good' album he did with Bob James (noticed it because on the cover it looks like he's naked with a halo & about to break your nose). Its the one with Knucklehead, check this bass riff. Got some other great (and some cheesey) stuff a huge sale last weekend: David Matthews- Dune David Aaron- Excursions 1/5 South- 4 Track Sessions Part 2 & Juice Aleem- Nanotech Pilots Black Flag- Slip It In Bob James- One Bob James- Two Oneohtrix Point Never- Returnal Percy Faith- Corazon Roy Ayers- Coffy Unknown- Give The Drummer Some (a bunch of random breaks, haven't listened to it yet- waiting for the right moment to put it on, I don't want to melt my face too soon) Incredible Bongo Band- Bongo Rock Isaac Hayes- Tough Guys (Three Tough Guys soundtrack) Mikis Theodorakis- Z Millie Jackson- Get It Outcha System Harvey Mandel- Baby Batter Lalo Schifrin & Jerry Fielding- Sudden Impact Lou Rawls- She's Gone The Love Unlimited Orchestra- White Gold + 3 turborare KPM library music sets- volumes KPM1121, KPM1094 & KPM1061 It was an expensive dig, but it was worth it (I got Bob James' One AND Two! In mint condition!) |

damn, some dope grabs in there for sure, coffy and ten tough guys soundtrack, the david mathews, all the bob james breaks..... ......but goddamn i'm jealous of the library finds, it sounds like the first one has a classic J5 sample on it, and then KPM 1094 has this beauty on it, and i'm assuming some other low key flute/electric piano jazz/funk as well, great finds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDMAvmsqMBw |

Picked up these just before christmas. Havent had chance to listen to them all yet. The Clockwork Orange OST is a very strange listening experience, a cool one though. |
