I love both Lonnie Liston and Gil Scott, especially his work with Brian Jackson.

i went and copped this gill scott joint but it was warped and a reissue so i was pissed. i kept it anyway but it was a record he made in the 80s which still had a good vibe but not like the brian jackson joints

Word son, I coped a new reissue of a vinyl before and it was warped hella weird but it still played and I would've spent more money is gas to return it. I threw it in a heavy stack of records on my self and hope pressure will work it's magic and turn that coal back into a diamond so I can flip it.

gil scott heron is great. check "winter in america" and "reflection", great albums, proto jazz/rap...there is another one but i forget the title...
lonnie liston smith: "cosmic funk" and "expression", dope albums, jazz funk at his best, i think from the second Stetsasonic take the bass for the classic "talkin all that jazz".
peace
