hot hot hot!!!! don't come across it much in upstate NY, but i've got a real nice jazz-rock/fusiony album by the group laboratorium, which is what made me aware of polish jazz series and the muza label in general

definitely jealous though, the homie mowgli has had the krzysztof sadowski and his group before but traded it for some store credit somewhere, and i feel like i remember checking out the one that has a ball with the number 76 written in it at one point (on the internet).....the grupa abc and novi singers albums are supposed to have some heat i believe, but it's hard to keep all the internet knowledge in check when i don't actually own the records to become familiar with them.......

dope finds though, where'd you get these, in berlin?? record shop or thirft/flea market style??

always love seeing those polish jazz releases, they always look super interesting and intriguing. the krzysztof sadowski is definitely not bad just a little more on the free jazz side but with some heavy rhodes. but word curious as to how you came up on these as well? dope!

i bought them in a record store, over here in cologne.
i moved from berlin to cologne, didn´t change that info on my forum profile.
the owner had a whole box of it around 60 records, which came in today, probably from a collector. i bought the cheap ones, didn´t had time to check them all.
the one you posted was there as well. gonna check the rest on monday.
yeah im not into that free jazz thing as well, but if youre a patient listener you´ll find some dope sounds :)
mowgli, are you looking for something special? where do you live at, maybe we can make up a trade or something.

peace

looks interesting. this wojciech karolak lp, is it jazz or how would you call it ?

Post subject:  Re: polish jazz

its a kind of jazz pop fusion.. the cover text says karolak tried to do a popish album with some few jazz elements.. it should be easy to listen and if the listener feels a little pleasure through that, his mission is acomplished..
i would recommend "easy" and "strzez sie szczezui" but with some weird polish letters which are not featured on my german keyboard haha

You mean "Strzeż się szczeżui"?

What a coincidence! After I read the first post here I youtubed Polish Jazz and Wojciech Karolak came up. Its great! I sampled the drums for my SP battle beat (hopefully.... we'll see if I can come up with something worthwhile in time) Just used isolator, compressor and reverb and I really like how they're sounding. Thanks Eisendraht!
