im doin a project thats heavily country/folk influenced and am in the process of gathering samples for it...ive got some dope shit but yall know of anything else? u guys ever sample country style shit?

No doubt have sampled country before. I might have some stuff that I chopped that I was working on awhile ago but never did anything with. some live willie nelson if you are interested in maybe doing something with it. Let me know. Peace.

Try digging for some Tex Ritter. Butterfield Blues Band has some sounds that could fit what you're doing. Hot Tuna LPs always have a loop or two to offer. If you want string arrangement, try some Crystal Gale. I know a producer sampled a track from one of her LPs for a Joe Budden mixtape.

Old Waylon jennings(good hearted woman), Faron young and even Jerry Jeff walker has some good drums oh and jj Cale of course one of the first to use a maestro beatbox in the early 70's-same one sly used I think.
