Alright, I'm done with my track, I put a new folder for this battle up on our box: http://www.box.net/shared/ykdq13ncsg

It's a bit lengthy but very chill. I had some problems organizing that shit because the 404 can only play 6 tunes at a time. So I wasn't able to add a lot of stuff and kept it quite simple. Sounds good on my headphones , I wish I had some ganja here right now ;D

So now I'll check your shit out. Everytime I finished my battle entry and think "man, that's a really cool tune, maybe I'll even get a vote or something" and then I listen to the other entries and can completely lose that thought again *lol*

cool beat, using the djfx looper?
try using mono sampling! i usually bring in specific things mono, and others stereo so i always have enough room. 6 stereo 12 mono polyphony, sometimes you can get a lot going by just switching one sample over to mono. i usually do the kick mono to free up space, along with any high-frequency sounds, since they always cut through the mix either way.
hey maybe we could figure out a way to email ganj across the Atlantic! cus i got some frozen winter buds stocked up

yo I break it down to the raw elements like rice...

Raw Elements (like rice).mp3 - 5.37MB

damn IIIII... some challenging ish. not a whole lot of different instrumentation... had to call on that judo chop steez. If you're gonna mail any frozen buddha, put me down for a quarter.

EDIT:
Olerud... dope drum work.
Bellsauce... I was feeling the looped feel to that track, and also the vinyl-style effects.
Blindfold... nice epic sounding track. Also liked the down-tempo approach.
Spacey... you flipped the sh*t outta that sample. Nice. Liked all the variation in there.

it would be dope to get a battle entry out of someone wielding a 202. 8)

I uploaded all our tracks to the SP Box: http://www.box.net/shared/qkm48n95h7

No DJFX in my track, I used several distortions to get those crackling sounds and the noise generator for the windy sounding stuff. Yeah, I'm gonna try to lo-fi those, haven't though about that! I only tried it with the ambient sounds but that sounded crappy. I'll rework my track if I find the time this weekend cause I get a new toilet and shower today plus some carpets for my rooms and then I can finally move into my appartment. I totally missed out that guitar part, though, I was too lazy to hear the whole track over and over again to find more samples cause it's so long *gg*

btw: When I marked a part of the track to resample it, is there a method I can continue to play the track from that position on so I won't have to play it from the beginning again?

Everytime I hear a new track from you, Count Sierackula I immediately have to smile because you always take a edgy and freaked out approach to your work, this is really cool. Bellsauce, your is very good as well, has it's very own flow. Spacey and Olerud... your tracks are the bangers!

PS: IIIII, Maybe it worked if you'd hide the greens in a coffee or tea bag ;)[/url]

I jumped in my Toyota Blade Runner and took a trip to the future for this one...it's a cold world out there, sometimes I think I'm getting a bit frosty myself

Olerud, solid truck as always with bumpy drums and nice samples
Bellsauce, welcome in the arena section :D YOu created some crazy stuff man, not bad as for your first battle.
Count, maaaan, C.R.A.Z.Y. as always. Superb bassline in my opinion.
Detail, Im still listening to the Beird project man, dope as hell :) Your battle track's also interesting. Nice pitch play man.
Blindfold, like you said. Nice Chillout :) ( thanks for box.net :P )
Spacey, thats some FREAKIN BOLLYWOOD soundtrack :D No doubt, my favourtie track.

thanks for the comments blindfold and elhau... means a lot.

Some nice additions to the mix. Bulletproof Camel is official... those first couple notes are definitely cold vein. Nice drum work... and the cross fader effects are cool too.

I like the use of the vocal samples in your track elhau... and that record stopping sound is dope.

Cha-na-na-na... Cha-na-na-na... Cha-na-na-na

does get in your head. It's not quite as bad as the other morning when I woke up to this damned lil wayne track on my alarm... the one about the lady cop pulling him over... with the whack-ass chorus about wheoo-wheoo-whee... wheoo-wheoo-whee... wheoo-wheoo-whee... and on and on to eternity.
