Revised on 14/12: Added the second sample link

It was hard decision for me what to choose, but I don't want you guyz keep waiting for undecided elhau.
So here is my choice:

Czesław Niemen - "Sen o Warszawie ( Dream about Warsaw )"

It's one of his greatest songs. Real Classic here, in Poland.
It was even adapted by our capital Soccer Club for their anthem

Here is the cover:

Alright, I got those files. At first I had some problems converting the song into wav but I downloaded it again and now it works. I won't have much time today cause I'm going to a concert this eve (Dälek are coming to town!) but I don't have much uni tomorrow and friday which gives me more than enough time to come up with some dope stuff.

I didn't recognize you are living in Poland elhau, which city are you from?

Warsaw :)
And that makes this song "double" important for me.

Edit: I see that .wav sample format is needed. I chopped the sample to 12 .wav parts and they're ready to import.
Here's the link:

Oh man, I keep having an earworm of this song for two days now, it's kinda cool despite its cheesyness. I've got it chopped and laid down some basic rhythms so far, looking good.

Alright, I sat down some hours to work on my beat and just finished it. Here you go. I put it directly into our box.net folder.

At first I wanted to do some kind and warm melody thing cause the original track is that friendly sounding but while I played around with the sampes I amped it with more and more distortion *g* Now I'm checking out Olerud's track.

Don't miss the chance to remix this great song fellas, I had a lot of fun!

edit: Your track is really good Olerud, at first I wondered where you got that vocals from but then I remembered that elhau posted another track. Good work man.

Cool samples, elhau. Finally got a chance to listen to them.
Nice that you picked sth. homegrown! Beats so far are dope... 8)

Yo Olerud, did you actually used the youtube video?
would it be allowed to do this elhau? I didn't catched the point on that... both tracks are amazing!

I posted the second track as I thought that the first one could be too hard to "remix" cuz of the drums.
In this second track ( youtube link ) there are some "clean" moments, without any drums, which would allow ya'll to create your own drums sequences.

Anyway, you can use both tracks to make your beats . I think it'd be pretty unfair to disallow it now as Olerud made his track using samples from the youtube linked track.

Damn, I thought that I dont have enough rep to attract ppl to participate in battle started by me, but it's getting better now :)
I'm glad that both of you Wax and IIIII joined blindfold and Olerud.
Yeah, and the beats are so far mad dope :)

Seriously man I love the fact that you picked sth. from your native country!!! I did the same thing after my first win.
It don't has to be english all the time...

Now that I know the second song is available, too I'm try to give it a quick shot tomorrow. This place def holds me back from my own projects but f*** it; a nice sample needs to be inspected...

Hehe Wax, I know what you mean :)

I've planned to finish my first album by the end of last september.
I had almost all tracks 50% done ( Found proper samples, created some melodies, added drums, but not sequenced them ).

The only things that I've been finishing since I remember were those sp-battle beats :)

Now, it's almost new year, my hard disc got fucked up, lost all my unfinished material, and I'm creating it from scratch now :)

404 only, as I want to keep my beats away from pc as long as it's possible :)

Anyway, I'm happy that you like the samples, enjoy your time while creating something out of em :)

Edit:

yeah! also I've already translated the first song into english so that you can understand it a little betta. Now I'm waiting for Ole to correct the mistakes and I'll post it as fast as I can :)

waddup fam? nice sample selection elhau... lots of possibilities. here's what I came up with: http://www.box.net/shared/o6xcrhgqqj

I'm gonna give these tracks by olerud and blindfold a listen.

edit: dope. so different. blindfold ripped it... and olerud's track has a real smooth flow. nice.
