This was a crazy battle... went with flynn mainly cuz of what he did with the bass samples... sounded super fat and the drum fill when the beat drops was real nice... teewok was really clean loved it went perfect with the raps.. chopperman had his best raps ive heard since ive been on here i think (from the battles i mean that tape you did with flynn had some great moments too) also the amount of switch ups always amazes me with chopperman... no.pulp sounded perfect with the dustiness.. endorshores caught me off guard in the best way when that anderson .paak dropped best acapella besides the original raps.... lif was freaky as fuckin shit with the drums as usual always fun to listen to

Went with DJ Pogo Angel. Really like the swing of the drums as well as the bassline. Other faves were Flynn's, Endorshore's and Teewok's.

And thanks Ted!

Dam, every tune was going to be my vote till I got to the next one, ha! Great samples, great beats. Went Teewok with the the vote, that just hit hard. Devee was a runner up as well as Chopperman with that rap, sounded great.

I too went with Flyn for the bass-game. The mix was great, the samples sat there really nice even when it made the bench rattle and glasses hop around when I played it in the kitchen.

I like the way teddy just mutilates the samples in these battles and choppermans drumwork has been really strong these last few rounds.

This battle was bangin', I really enjoyed this one.

Too many good entries!

Teewok brought a bumpin beat with the sweet acapella!

Chopperman dropped a flaming beat with some dope raps shouting out teewok and the sp battles!

DJ Pogo Angel a real smooth track. The Drums is flavor them hi hats and bass line was dope.

Devee- Another smooth beat, loved the different snares! and the overall feel to track. Funny vocal sample. Its on the tip of my tongue of what movie that's from. Maybe you can help me out. Haha

FLYNN: Intense beat making, what a masterpiece. You did an amazing job here! That faint vocal samples over the track is awesome, it goes great with the beat. The drum and bass are terrific. And you have my VOTE! WELCOME BACK TO ARENA

ENDORSHORES: The drum loop was efficient and the anderson paak WAS a dope addition to the beat. Only thing I thought it was a little too high end. Not sure if that was the intention. I myself have trouble getting my levels and lo's&hi's right. Still did a great job!

lif: what can I say, lif always brings the unconventional beats to the ARENA. Crazy sounds, drum work is off beat and amazing. Love your style always.

kegeratorz: Sounds like we had some similar chops, nice work and good use off the delay and MFX

TeddyP: a quick Buttery LoFi beat. Sick drums and dark sample chops.

nopulp: another dark vibe here. Love the way the samples are drenched in reverb and fade in and out. nice job!

kid pasta: the drums were swinging! a dope microwave cut! Very nice work adding in the acapella.

My fav are:
- l i f : always very technical
- ted : dark but well made, the drums smashs)
-devee : i like the beat and those reverbed drums but i don't like the lo-fi vocals :S

-pogo angel : deep reversed sample, the drumflow is good (especially the open hats in the back) = +1 vote

Nice turn out this round! Props to all the cats that used the bass samples. I slaved over a hot stove for hours to make those. Nah, it only took like 10 mins.

Kid Pasta caught me off guard, that deserves a vote.

hai guize

JOHNSONDONTSURF - Dirty, short and sweet... just like my ex gf. I like it.

Devee - I like how the drums are loudest in the mix. Makes me wanna spit a verse over it.

DJpogoangel - i lol'd at that image you used

Chopperman - choppa mang putting it down, you're probably the hardest working guy on this forum mang. respect.

Flynn - Your levels are really off. The sub bass is cutting through the mix and everything else is too low. Perhaps you should learn how to strucuture your gain and maybe use compression...

EndorShores - That acapella was a nice touch.

lif - oh shit, another heavy weight in da ring. lol fuck that snare! XD this beat is pretty wild mang

Kegeratorz - beat wouldn't load cuz my internet is potato quality rn :c

Teddyp - wooooh whats going onnnn whaaaa... that first loop was dope.. why'd you change it up?

no.pulp - firstly, pulp is dope.n secondly, your beat was pretty decent. can i get a download link?

Kid Pasta - that was awful

Teewok - ugh.. my potato speed internet won't load your beat.. sorry.

Though I really liked how ambitious and creative lif's beat was I think no.pulp created the best, most balanced remix of the samples.

Props to all you guys for staying steady on that beat grind. Keep it up guys! PERSISTENCE IS KEY.

@r4ph Lol dude if you heard that loop more than once the tacky bass wouldve made you puke... i had to destroy it, but i wanted to include it so people could hear what it sounded like before i used the filter/djfx/vinyl sim/ extra drums... / i gotta stick up for flynn on this one i thought the sub bass cutting through was what made it so great.. it didnt diminish the other parts.. i actually loved that mix

Twas a toss up between Teewok and DJPogoangel. I like a nice mix and both these tracks had that. I had to go with Teewok for taking that time to structure the beat very nicely around the acapella.

Dope Turnout for this one!

I have to disagree with you. All the fx took away from the original hook.

>>Sometimes less is more.

As for Flynns mix.. I actually have a sub through which I monitor music through and to me it sounded like he over compensated with the bass... If you have some basic, consumer quality headphones or speakers, then yes, I could see how it would sound good.. However, anyone would with a full range set of speakers or studio monitors will clearly hear the lack of balance and gain structure in the mix.
