Shout out to everyone who got in on this! Poll is running for 4 days, which means it wraps up Tuesday around noon. Let me know if any of the links are messed up and I'll fix em ASAP.

Dope beats! I'm gonna be that dude that comments on all of em!

otbt - nice intro. nice disjointed drums. reppin the 404 well.
asha c - nice drums. nice live effects. this beat keeps it moving. what was your production method... 505 + 404?
Green Dutch - dope intro. most sinister beat... also highest THC content. nice drum processing. the massacre is a nice touch.
SENJU - very clean beat. nice chop selection. feelin the wabble effect toward the end. what was your hardware setup for such a creation?
Cgko - feelin the creepy bass. nice work on the percussion breakdowns. nice off-the-grid feel. did you create the industrial sounds on the 404?
1616 - nice live effects. dope transitions in and out of the different sections. this was a menacing medley. is this a 404 concoction?
CuzVin90 - dope intro. nice drum work. from the first listen this track screamed straight-up hip hop to me. what was your setup?

Voted CusVin90, with Green Dutch getting my second vote. Tough to call. Lots of choice beats! We'll have to get this rolling in time for Halloween next year.

Hey guys! Great job everyone.

@Count Sierackula: The squelchy sounds and the bass are from my akai miniak. Everything else is sp-404.
I was between CuzVin90 and Green Dutch. I voted for Cuzzin Vinny

OTB: Loving the dark vibe, real sinister build up and the beat kicks in sweeeeet!!!! wasn't much for the vocal cuts in there but thats just a personal taste thing, other than that awesome, gonna be hard to beat!!!

Green Dutch: Nice lofi fuzz, love how you used the melody part, nice build ups creating tension!! Again another awesome beat!!!

SENJU: Nice use of the laughs, worked really well without being cheesy!!! Niiiice bass too, loved the drums as well!! man its gonna be hard to vote this round!!!

Cgko: BANGING!!! great use of the effects, nice industrial vibe going on, different to the others so far but again great track!!!

1616: Love those crazy drums, nice pauses in the beat too!!! great use of the sp effects!! nice change of mood around the 1:04 mark, worked real well as a change!!

CuzVin90: MEGA DARK!! the sparseness of the track worked really well, minimal yet full!!!

Count Sierackula: Again a lot different from the others but another amazing track!! Loved the use of hats on the beat and again minimal yet very effective sounds!!! also enjoyed the talking samples you dropped in there!

Just used the 404, mostly only use that for battles just cos its quicker!!!

Amazing tracks all round, gonna go with 1616!!

Well since it was open form my everyday process is a lil bit of everything.. chopped up the freddy sample on my 404 og played into ableton.. drums were chopped up on ableton then sampled through my 303 for lofi crunch back into ableton. sequenced everything in ableton sampled into the 303 for more lofi and vin sim then sampled into the 404 for mfx 12 compression. Back to ableton for final touches.. tedious as fuck i know but its how i like working.

Interesting process. I love how particular heads on here are about their SP mastering techniques. Bouncing & compressing to get just the right amount of grit. Let me ask u this... What did u use for monitoring?

Not much really just paying close attention to ableton's meters.. didnt use a spectrum or anything like that. I know some heads are okay with lettin shit clip but i try to make sure that doesnt happen lol. I think the big thing when using sp's compression is to make sure you got your drums louder then the sample.. after you compress everything and glue your mix i just go back in my daw and add slight eq and a limiter... the time consuming part is getting your drums to knock the way you want and choppin the sample imo.

Made for a nice sound. Did you monitor on headphones or external speakers?

By the way... voting is open til the end of the day, but it looks like things might be settled. Congrats on the win! Time to start thinking about the terms/samples for the next O.C.!

My top 3 were CUZVIN, CGKO and the Count. Hard to choose cause I loved the drum work in all of this. Went with CGKO with that heat
