here are my impressions

mcfishuh - Myneighbor
+ Nice beat
- Sounds like the same pattern iterated over and over, with some effects here and there

lazer bear - roar of totoro
+ Dreamy and gentle theme, easy on the ears
- Drums sound too prominent, and the sounds remind the original material a little too much. The song feels a little too long and repetitive.

junior mungus - catbus
+ Creative and concise
- I'm afraid this is a case of a musicians' musician: there's hardly any perceivable rhythm, the 'lead' sound reminds me of a geiger counter, and the effects wash everything out. Maybe it takes an sp-head to fully appreciate your skills with the device, but for this poor uneducated listener, this is alien.

mad evil science - symphony for melodramatics
+ Both the loop and the beat are very good
- There's clipping and distortion throughout, which is bad. The silence at :42 and :47 is gutsy, but feels too abrupt (maybe some reverb or other effects would have eased the oncoming 'fall'). I would also have started the song with the ending part. All in all, it sounds more like a draft than a finished product: why releasing it like this, when you still had some time ?

LimpyLoo - Kleptophonica
+ Nice beat and great reuse of the original material: I especially like the loop at 1:00 onwards
- The first 10 seconds sound like filler, as do the ending from 1:45 onwards. At 0:37 I would have jumped directly to 1:00.

IIIII - SP-Battle 118
+ Nice stuttery/glitchy feel, great bass line, very well structured
- Sounds like its about to clip throughout, I found it hard on the ears. I'm also not too fond of the harshness of some lo-fi sounds.

teewok - neighbours
+ Classic beat, and splendid use of the original material to create a new melody: I had it drilled in my ears for days !
- Fairly similar to the original material, and there's not much variation throughout the song

kei kurono - invisible shinigami
+ Clever. Suggestive and chilling atmosphere, huge work on the original sounds, interesting complex rhythm pattern. As with teewok's song, I had this drilled in my ears.
- Uhm... difficult to find something, maybe the beat is a tad repetitive

Auqs - Rvrsbl (spbttl118)
+ Touching. An evolving latin beat over a floaty layer of samples that remind the original material, without sounding too predictable. The effects give the sounds a nostalgic smear: feels like you had a story to tell, and you did a great job at telling it.
- From about 1:40 onwards, the song seems to repeat itself with little variations

asha c battle 118
+ This song is so smooth it could be used as a soundtrack, the magistral use of the device and its effects create an ethereal and evolving soundscape. Nice work on the drums at 1:29
- Not my favourite genre, but if there's something questionable about this song, I can't find it

chopperman - tutoro 404 (gets my vote)
+ Stunning. Sounds like the device had been used as a composing tool: at times it felt like you were conducting a small orchestra. I also liked how the effects were used to improve the sounds rather than to rape them. A few gems: the verse at 0:28, the rhythmic effect created by the piano riff against the beat at 0:52, and the delicate ending part.
- There's not much of a strong 'lead' part

@everyone: Keep up the great work !

I dug them all, for real! Teewok, that was rich. Junior Mungus, 0:24!!! Lazerbear, I liked how when the beat lightened up the snare got all that reverb. Asha, very dope once again. I especially like those strange percussion sounds that come in at 1:30. Kei, yours made me want to scuba dive to it. I was mesmerized by it. You got my vote. Mad Evil Science, yours made me nostalgic. I like the simplicity of it. MCfishuh, 0:33!! Limpyloo, I dig the rawness. IIIII and Auqs, those were MASSIVE! Awesome battle! Respect.

SPeace

11 tracks? Nice! The comps are heating up around here!

Listening now... Trying to decide... Commenting on hearing these tunes for the first time

Thoughts:
Teewok- Classy beat, nice rhythmic variations. Not as banging as other tunes you've put up in battles
Junior Mungus- That warping SP404 is really becoming a thing, isn't it? Ha! Sounds like you were having more fun messing with the sound than making a tune.
Chopperman- The pic you posted for the SoundCloud clip made me laugh, nice touch! You seemed to heard more dramatic notes in the sample than most of the others here. Picking out those moments that most of us would miss is a bit of an art. Plus the rhythm shifts from 1:16 were a great touch. You finished the beat quite well.
Lazerbear- The opening is a bit of a question mark to this track, couldn't quite pick where you were going. Once it opens up with the reverb snare it got interesting (even if the reverb tail was a bit long & distracting from the subtle, understated loop).
Asha C- Firstly, nice mutation of the samples. Sounds like you sequenced the drums live/without quantize. Sounds tense, like the track wants to turn into something bigger than what you made. Great use of delay & reverse.
Kei Kurono- Thought you were gonna get all typical LA beat scene but you dodged the cliche. Sounds like a beat that's begging for a rapper. Pity it ended so fast!
Mad Evil Science- Interesting sounds you've pulled out of the sample, it was a bit of a tease because I wanted to hear how you'd push the sample in more ways. Did you microwave this one?
LimpyLoo- Again, sounds like another microwave.
IIIII- OH SHIT... Right away this sounds like its gonna get my vote. Really dig the flipout drums, that sub well pitched sub-bass, the continual move from melodic part to melodic part. Imense effort. WOW.
Auqs- Sorry you had to come after IIIII... But you did a damn fine following him up! Using a loop from the Youtube clip was a nice variation. Great to hear someone else really going to town on the melodic aspects of the sample. Submitting a 3+ minute beat can be a bit risky but this time it's about the right length.

Ended up voting IIIII because that's the most creative flip in every aspect. Best rhythm, best resampling, least repetitive, best rearranged melody. Props to all the others too, there was some other great listening this round.

so many dope jams, but gotta say the man of the hour is JUNIOR MUNGUS!!!!
The cassette hiss, and the smooth jankness of the chops is pretty much mind blowing.

good shit, good shit.
