I liked the stompiness of djmellow's, and that snare was nice. Limpyloo's percussion was really trippy, and it made the track 'breathe'. But I voted for TAHJ because although there wasn't much mutation of sounds, the layers and chops made it feel like a whole different song.

djmellow – Feeling the drum processing... seems like a different vibe for you. Overall, the instrumentation feels a bit too minimalist for my taste.

Limpyloo – Sick percussion... like that jingling sound and the reverse hits. Spaced out and orchestral at the same time. Reminds me of Portishead a bit.

Tahj – I actually like the recognizability of the sample... messin with some Pink Floyd, it's nice to hear that source track in there. I like the drums... and especially like the change-up and second half of the track. What SP are you on?

My favorite of the bunch is LimpyLoo's track. Nice work by all.

hey Mellow, how'd you get your hats to be 'humanized', like, different sometimes? sounds like a drummer missing with his stick and instead hitting hats with his knuckle, heh.

anyway, Mellow gets my vote. brought tha sexy heat!

Voted Limpyloo. Cool beat, really made something different out of the sample. Djmellow's was cool too, bad like Count said minimalistic.

thanks limpy. i think that difference in volume came from having a leftover hat sound on one of the kick sounds, i think i may have also used two different hats, one that had vinyl sim on it and one without.

tough one, i liked both songs, i really liked the beat limpy came up with, but i really liked how tahj's beat progressed, the drums sounded great too, so my vote goes to tahj.

Voted for Limpy on this one. That groove was dark and enjoyable. Good stuff from djmellow too. I wish I coulda effected my samples especially drums more so that they didn't sound like the original but it's always a time crunch for me with these battles. Hope to get in another one soon. Peace!

Attn Count, I'm using a 404sx.

I could vibe with all the beats. I liked the different styles and moods but in the end I gotta go with LimpyLoo - that's my kind of beat, diggin those bells or triangle sounds or w/e :D

This one was tough!

DJmellow - I really like how minimalist it is, and I also enjoyed that unexpected crescendo / delayed sample . Very cool.

Limpyloo - great percussion, great balance in the instrumentation. Totally solid, and dug yr use of dynamics.

Tahj - totally different vibe, but a great little I song. Liked the production and how the piece was driving forward at all times.

Tahj got my vote. Good job to all three.
