At the risk of sounding corny-gotta say it's an honor to have won this with such an amzing line up of beats-woulda been nice if more members that don't participate in the battles/challenges would come through and drop a vote-but I guess the number of votes this time around was pretty average. Anyway-thanks a lot to everyone that gave me a vote-and mad respect to everyone that participated. Also, thanks count for starting this one up..

And as count mentioned in the thread from a couple days ago-this open challenge is starting to develop into something more that I think is really dope- we're gonna start a little collective/crew,and start making little e.p.'s from open challenge beats, and arena battle ones after each battle/challenge-these will include every beat that recieves a vote.then every couple months or so I think we'll be making comps with all the winners beats. We're starting off with just a bandcamp page, hopefully a soundcloud too-and hopefully we can take things further than just that in the future. Everyone is more than welcome to participate of course, including all you lurkers out there that come through here--one of our goals is not just to showcase the talent of s.p. users-but the fact that the way we do our music, and the mostly lower budget equipment we use can compete with anything out there....And for me,that's not a "roland is the shit thing"-'cause honestly I think they're pretty shifty as a company/corporation and how they go about doing things-the point is more the age old saying-"it's not the equipment,it's what you do with it"--we haven't completely decided on a name for the collective or the mixtape series yet,but we'll keep everyone posted. I'd really like to see us all come together and create some high quality releases, and eventually even some ground breaking ones-we definitely have the talent and the diversity/eclecticness around here to do so.In the meantime,I'll be getting this next open challenge going...Peace!

How about TheSp's. The Spatial Peepholes. Just a suggestion.

All good suggestions... here's what we settled in on: http://spsociety.bandcamp.com/

I'm gonna be posting the vote-getters from the rhodes challenge, along with cover art in the next day or so. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, Teewok pretty much shutdown the last round, so the terms of the next O.C. are up to him.
