So I've been prepping samples for when I get my new sp-404 so I can hit the ground running..

Here is the first of many packs I will upload to share with you.. Time to get your sub on!

http://www.box.net/shared/0br5ics119

These bassdrums come from nepheton, an excellent 808 emulator plugin.
They've been effected with some subtle distortion from a couple plugins to warm it up and give a fuller sound.. But not so much that you cant go and add your own character to them.

I am aware that everyone has 808 samples, but usually people only have a bassdrum at maybe one or 2 decay levels and tone settings, these are intended to be a wider set so that you can get closer to exactly the sound you want.

The way the pack is arranged is as follows:

each WAV has a prefix to it's name - eg, nCnS.
This stands for 'no Click (attack sound), no Sweep(pitch envelope)'

the other letters used in place of n; (h and f) stand for half, or full.
I couldn't be bothered sampling more than 9 combinations of settings.

Each WAV contains multiple versions of the same sound, each with a longer decay than the last.. This is necessary because of the lack of amp envelope on the SP samplers. Simply use the mark/start-end functions to select the bassdrum with the decay you want. This way you wont get any nasty clicking by cutting a long kick short manually.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more. . more drums + multisampled synth packs to come!

:)

PS: I apologize for the long gaps between the first couple samples.. the process was somewhat automated and I had to leave enough room for the long decay ones every note.

Just for future packs,

does everyone think it's worth having the multiple decay variations of each sample? Or should I not include them (I will still make them for myself anyway so its not saving me any time, just makes the DL a bit smaller)

Wow, over 50 downloads :) glad its been useful!

So Uhhh.. Sorry there haven't been more yet!

I've been mucking around with my smaples though,
so it shouldnt be too much longer.. next will probably be single hits of instruments taken off my record collection now that its grown quite alot,

and for all those without pitch shift, I'll do it for ya and include a bunch of each sound at diff. pitches.
