I'm not a internet-sample-fan but this changed my opinion a lil bit.. Damn, I could never get all those breaks on vinyl. Thank god we 303 and 404 users have the MFX to get them bangin right. The site I've downloaded the stuff from (see pt 1) is very informative... Never can learn enough bout breaks!

Pardon the inexperience... heh

This loop collection is amazing. I recognize a lot of them! Problem is I'm having trouble getting em on the 555. I tried putting the files in the root directory without using wav converter (which often works fine, not sure what this wav converter is actually needed for), but no dice. Then tried using the converter on my macbook and it tells me that the file isn't supported. Something about sample rate I think. You guys seem to be enjoying them without issue, I feel left out haha.

What am I doing wrong? I can't wait to get these loaded up. If this has been answered elsewhere already, point me there. Much appreciated.

g'day, welcome to the forums

your best bet is to record them into your SP (remember it IS a sampler!!)
then you can apply EQ or Compress etc as it records in

otherwise, you must make sure the bitrate and khz of the .wavs is correct
for the 404 it's 44.1 khz and either 8 or 16 bit
it may be different for the 555

hope you get it sorted

...most of them are saved as ACM .wav... unreadable for any sp ...
You need to convert that ish!

Alright, yeah recording audio in, good solution. *Cough* I, uh, wish I'd maybe considered that. Did I mention I was new at this? BUT / HOWEVER / AND ALSO / MORE CAPITAL EMPHASIS / I am not new at music, and think converting the files sounds more fun. (Specifically, looping and layering loops without losing synch?) More flexibility, from what I can tell by reading the manual and a couple days meddling. Yes, I have no clue how to do said converting. But also yes, I'm sure that isn't difficult to learn in this massive cobweb of information.
Thanks for the welcome, to a living resource that answers back when probed on matters of greatly creative importance, cheers.
