 Post subject: can any one help me with sample?

i need a chopped 8-12 samples for my hip hop beat. im trying many many ways to chopp it nice but allways crap. mayby someone got nice chopped sample and can help me.. i need it only for practice.

what do you mean by 8-12? you mean individual slices?

have a go at this:

record the first section of this into your SP. then use the Mark button to grab nice slices, then use Resample to transfer them across to other pads.

you should wind up with various notes from various instruments, that will all sound good together 'cos they're in the same key from the same song : )

now; start your sequenced beat and 'freestyle' the chops over the top. soon you will discover the a rhythm and sequence that sounds good and works. set the pattern to record, then perform the sequence again - voila, your chops are working for you!

ye that sample rocks! it have a nice one shots in. but when i download it from youtube and other site, all its good but when i transport it to my sp, the sound is very very faster. u know what i mean.

ok i i change to the 44.1 hz and its fine. tryin to do beat now :D

glad you got it sorted...but rather than ripping the audio from the track, you can just route the output of your PC into the input of the sp-404 - then you just gotta hit Rec and the sample is fed straight into the SP - ready for slicing!
