Hi - been browsing this board for a while - thought id ask a question for a change if anyone could help please :)
I have an Sp555 and was wondering if anyone had used one as a Midi Controller for Reason 5 - in particular Kong Drum Designer.
Essentially im wanting to be able to trigger Kongs pads with the Sp555 and although i have the device active in Reason, i wondered if anyone knew how to set it up to do this as im a bit unsure and wet round the ears when it comes to Midi.

Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Keyboard and Control Surfaces

Under "Attached Devices" choose "Add" and on the dropdown, choose other and you will se the SP-555 in there. Take in mind that if you are using the SP-555 as a soundcard, any samples loaded on the pads will play when you hit them. So if you are using something else as the soundcard, and just using the SP-555, it will work fine.

Thanks for that - i did actually get the thing linked up in reason now - but im unsure how to map the controls to what i want - basically i want the pads to trigger Kongs pads and for it to be a deicated (locked) Kong device. When i press the pads at the moment - nothing is happening - and only 2 of the rotary controls seem to move things.

Im not using the SP555 as a soundcard as i have a dedicated focusrite sapphire for that :D

so i followed this like you said and it all works fine except everything is moved up one pad from the 555 and the 555's 1 pad plays nothing. for example, if i play the 6 pad on the 555, kongs 7 pad plays. 15 on the 555 plays 16 on the kong and 1 on the 555 plays nothing. any suggestions?

sorry i wrote that wrong. 2 on the 555 plays 1 on the kong, 3 on 555 plays 2 on kong, and so on. 16 on the 555 plays the 15 pad on kong and i have no way to trigger the 16 pad on the kong with the 555 and the 1 pad on the 555 plays nothing. thanks.
