you should store your samples into a computer.

A lot of computers have various slots for different types of flash cards. I'm pretty sure all the SPs (excluding the 202 and 303) save samples in .WAV/AIFF format. I drag the .WAV/AIFF's to my iPod and save everything to that, rather than just in the computer--a step even further.

You can drag the samples to your iTunes, but you will discover that iTunes will lose your samples over time. Best to keep them seperate from iTunes unless you back them up another way (completely seperated from iTunes). I've been down that road, just a heads up.

The 404 uses compressed files. So you need to export them within the machine otherwise they will remain in the Roland format. On the 404, to export samples as WAV, you press:

CANCEL + RESAMPLE

*Then you select the pads you want exported to WAV

Press, RESAMPLE again to start the render.

This will take a while....

Now take your CF card and put it in your card reader. In the first folder you see, there will be all your exported WAV files. DRAG n DROP from the card to your PC.
