So i bought a 555 from guitar center last week and they threw in a free cf card.
The type of card is an "ATP" compactflash 1 gig
the problem is as follows......
i will load samples up in to my 555 and the ones that are internally saved have always been fine...
The thing is the samples that are saved onto the memory card will work fine for a lil bit and then after a while they will start to glitch and once that happpens all the samples wont work, so i have to restart the sp and the samples r fine again but the problem will occur again.
Ive tried formattiong it, but i really think its the memory card because the samples will work fine for awhole day sometimes n then out of no where boom..... then i have to restart it. once i restart it the problem will most likely occur like 5minutes after..... like i said before the internally saved samples have NEVER ONCE messed up

IF SOMEONE COULD PLEASE HELP ME, I AM NEW TO SP'S AND THIS IS KILLING ME.

IM HOPING ITS THE MEMORY CARD BECAUSE ALL THE SIGNS POINT TO THAT

SO YA SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS BECAUSE ITS ALREADY FUKD UP ON ME TWICE LIVE......

I'm gonna say it's the card. There have been a few other posts this week about their samples glitching out on them too. The consensus seems to be a bad card.

What I would do first is reformat the card using the computer. Then when you put it back in the machine it will require you to format it again. If you are still having troubles after that go to GC and exchange the mem card. Don't sleep on getting the card taken care of cuz CF cards of that size are getting hard to get ahold of in brick n mortar stores.

Do you think it will mess my sp up if i just use it until my new cf card comes n the mail?(cuz sometimes it will work for a little while n then once a sample fucks up then i gotta take the memory card out when i put it back in shits chill n then the problem will occur like 5 minutes later, but some times it will work fine for a while)
so do u think it could fuck my 555 up by using it?

no it shouldn't damage anything, just whatever you do dont try to load an OS update/system restore from the dodgy CF card
