Sorry if this has been addressed- but can you apply MFX seperately to the XLR input. In other words- Could you have a delay on the mic without delaying the pads as well- has anybody extensivley freaked the XLR on the 555?

btw isn't Roland coming out with some new gear like this week?

yup. I sold my 555 so i dont remember how really
oh yeah, when you select an effect and hold effect assign and the mic button the effects should go to the mic. same as if you effect assign effects to the line in, the effects will affect everything coming through the line in.
if this isnt how you do it then read the manual i knopw you can. i rocked the voice transformer one night with some buddies on the mic and distorting our voices like crazy. just gotta figure out the way to do it but you can.

Yeah, in 6 days or so.

You can definitely use FX on the Mic/Line In without affecting the pads and vice-versa. Only thing to remember is that both Mic and Line will have FX on them, no way to use one or the other.

Voice Transformer is really funny, can work like some sort of synth bass if you resample with other stuff on top of it. Triggering that Subsonic FX with a mic is fun too, maybe not that useful though (it's easier to do it with the D-Beam).

Cool- cuz I perform live with the 606 but I was thinking how cool it'd be if I could dub my voice in real time with the SP FX that I love so much-

Maybe if Roland drops a new SP next week the 555 price will drop & I'll snatch one.
