Hi forum,
I just recently got Logic Pro 9 and I was wondering if anyone currently uses both and if they can reveal was is possible with the two working together. Is there a way to record into Logic without an audio interface? Any tips/advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't use Logic so I can't actually help you with that.

The SP-555 works pretty well as an audio interface for external gear going through the Line In or the Mic In, but if you want to record the SP-555's output then you'll probably want an audio interface (because you can't monitor anything coming from your computer). It's probably easier to just do stuff on the SP-555 then save on a card and transfer that to the computer.

I don't have 555, but I do use Logic. The modern macs have audio input using the 1/8 inch jack next the headphone jack (depending on which mac.) So, yes, you can record without a special audio interface.

I've just started using the ESX24 as a sampler (some great tutorial videos on YouTube on how to do it.) So, you feed in some audio signals, then use the audio splitter to split the audio into samples, and automatically assign each split to a note (on a keyboard.)

Lot's of other cool features, check out SFlogicninja on Youtube...
