The manual refers to importing samples by placing them on the root of the CF. My question is when importing the sample onto the pad , does it get compressed just as what the sp wave converter does or is it imported as an uncompressed wav file ?

thanks

AFAIK anything you can save into the SP/card is going to be compressed no matter how it gets there.

While I haven't used it in a live setting I would bet it's going to sound just as good as any cd deck or whatever. Just be sure to check the internal processing level, the output volume and the volume of the samples.
