hey all.

i've had a 404 and 303 in the past. and I love the SP samplers a lot, but the one thing I was always frustrated about was a proper sample pitch transpose function like on most other samplers. I'm not talking about the "Pitch" effect, but an actual function to speed up or slow down a sample. the microsampler can do this, but i was interested to know if the 555 could do this?

if not, i might go and grab a microsampler for now.

cheers, louis.

thats funny.
reading a page about the sp-202 currently:

"individual samples can't be pitch shifted, tempo adjusted, or have their volumes altered."

pitch-shifting is generally regarded as complex alteration of pitch that maintains the length of the sample (ie does not simply change the pitch by playing it faster/slower)

tempo-adjusting is generally meant to be time-stretching - maintaining the pitch but altering the length

it can't do these 2 things, but you can alter the playback speed for pitch+length alteration.

well i'm not actually looking for any pitch shifting or time stretching.

i'm simply looking to transpose the pitches of samples.change their playback speed, just like with a basic sampler. i was so sad when i found that my SP samplers couldn't do this.

can you actually do this with any of the SP samplers? you're hinting as if they can? :?:

I'm seaching this function too... ! Where do you adjust the pitch of the sample, one of the most basic things in a sampler (tell me something more basic?). I'm not talking about time stretching or some complex process or some DJ FX. Just pitching a sample up or down. I need this function for the single drumsounds per pad.
