 Post subject: 1 day of sampling

ok... so I just did the math. On the 555 if you sample in mono lofi you can record 26.10 hours...lol Thats more time than there is in a day... thats a bit ridiculous... but hey... at least it will be something to brag about :D

It means it can be used as a hard-disk recorder...

I use the 606 as one heaps and even with 512meg it's fine, but yeahm it would be a bragging point for sure :lol:

hahaha, that shit is crazy! You could just sample the hell out of records all day long with no worries about space, and then just chop everything up at the end of the day.

im sometimes, play my songs than 3 minutes or more into each pad of my sp-404 and used in my live setup....playing with djlooper and others fx, is easy and fun 4 me....but not 24hours.....

^^Yeh, i do exactly the same thing. I always wondered how these cheap sp samplers hold so much space and stream it off disk imediately while mpc's come with tiny memory and loads of loading time. doesnt make sense.

when i told my friends i got a sampler the first thing they asked was how much time it had. when i told them 6 hours they were stunned. i don't think they believed me. =)
