hey guys. just got my sp a few days ago and am having lots of fun with it. ive noticed that the time stretch and pitch changing for samples is kinda of shitty and i doubt there is a way around it IN the unit so i was wondering what kind of stuff you all do for time stretch and pitch. hardware, software, etc. thanks!

pitch it when you got that sh*t on your TT... if it's digital, Live has a real nice pitch shift function. 8)

^when you have the sample selected... you click that "warp" button on... then you need to select "re-pitch". Then change the value for "Orig. BPM".

jeah, the pitch /time-strech thing is what is bad about the sp555, i used to pick samples with the right speed on vinyl OR i used audacity a freeware prog for recording that can pitch as well....

The lack of decent pitch and time stretch is the only thing preventing me from full blown idol worship with alter and all of the 404/555
